Win 1 of 3 paperback copies of Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith
(Film Tie-in Edition)
Closing Date: Thursday, 26th March 2015 at 5pm – CLOSED
Open to: UK readers only
Now a major movie, directed by Daniel Espinosa and starring Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace and Gary Oldman.
For fans of Robert Harris, John Le Carre and Martin Cruz Smith comes a gripping thriller set in Moscow, 1953. Under Stalin’s terrifying regime families live in fear. When the all-powerful State claims there is no such thing as crime, who dares disagree?
An ambitious secret police officer, Leo Demidov has spent his career arresting anyone who steps out of line. Suddenly his world is turned upside down when he uncovers evidence of a killer at large. Now, with only his wife at his side, Leo must risk both their lives to save the lives of others.
Inspired by a real-life investigation, Child 44 is a relentless story of love, hope and bravery in a totalitarian world. It is a thriller unlike any you have ever read.
In my review of Child 44, posted in July 2011, I described it as “an edgy read which has even the reader being cautious and suspicious about the characters” as well as one of the best books I’d read that year.

I read this book and loved it. So I suggested my book group read it and we all enjoyed reading it. We can’t wait for the film to come out so we can enjoy the story again.
UK Resident.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would love to read it again. Leo Demidov is a flawed, but brilliant hero and Tom Hardy was the perfect choice to play this beautifully complex character in the film.
Please enter me into the draw. I am a UK resident.

Of course the give away is closed, just popping in to say how much I loved this book! I read it a year or so ago, and I’m not sure why I haven’t read the rest of the trilogy yet. It looks like the characters in the film were a really good choice to play the parts of the book.
Also, thank you for stopping by my top ten list today.
