I am the grandaughter of Alfred Trow and I live in Cardiff. I am very excited to read your notes and see the photos of my Grandad and his brothers. I actually met uncle Ned when I was a child. With my aunt and Grandad we visited him in the Alms house where he lived. I have very vivid memories of him and the quaint hiuse he lived in. I am now going to read all the information that you’ve written, please keep in touch

I am one of the grandsons of Alfred Trow. My mother is Maisie
(Trow) who is now aged 92 and lives near me in Hereford.
I remember visiting your grandfather at Sarn back in the ’60s
with my grandfather, father and mother. Your grandfather was
such a happy cheerful man. One of the sisters was staying there
at the time but I can’t remember her name – she lived in Bolton.
The photographs of the brothers and other members of the family
are wonderful and I have never seen them before.

Hi Martin,
If you come back here, please leave another message… I’ve tried emailing you at the address you left but my message keeps bouncing back.
I was only a toddler when Granddad died, so I don’t really remember him… I only really know what Mum & Dad have told me (and anything I’ve found out through family history research). It’s great to read that you thought he was a happy cheerful man. Would the sister have been Ginnie (Jane) as she lived in Bolton?
I find it funny that we have a photo of 4 of the young Trow boys, but we don’t have one of Granddad. The youngest photo I’ve got of Granddad is when he was in WW1 and in his uniform.
Take care and I hope to hear from you soon.

I’m sorry not to reply sooner but Mom has been in hospital for
the last 6 weeks and she has just moved into a nursing home.
Mom has a photograph somewhere taken during our visit in the ’60s
and I will try and find it and send you a copy.
