Cheeky Squirrels

Written by Nikki-ann on Saturday, 28 November , 2009 at 6:53 pm

During my trip to London last weekend, I took a walk along the edge of  St. James’ Park. First I saw one squirrel, then another, another and quite a few more! I’d never seen so many squirrels in quite a small area (and in a city centre). I watched one squirrel climb a fence and then leap onto a man who was feeding a couple of them! He didn’t seem to mind though…

I quickly got my camera out and took a few photos, but when I saw this fella climbing on the fence and looking at me, I took a few steps back. I didn’t fancy having a squirrel climbing all over me!

Adorable post! I would have taken a step back too though, I get enough of the younger of my two cats (Magique)climbing on me, I wouldn’t want a squirrel doing it too!

Wonderful photos. Too cute! I love watching squirrels, but I’m not sure I’d like them climbing on me!

Those squirrels are brazen! They’ve been getting a lot of snacks from their people friends, I think. Great photos!

These are great pictures, both are so cute! Squirrels are so clever and tame quite easily.

Maybe the squirrel was wanting to read The Sun.

Cheeky squirrels, indeed! That one on the man’s shoulder looks quite well fed.

Hehe. That’s adorable – and I don’t blame you for taking a few steps back from the squirrel! I don’t think I would fancy it climbing all over me either. I love the determination in the second photo though – it’s an “I think I can” moment.
